United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA):
The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs works to promote international cooperation in the peaceful use and exploration of outer space. It also promotes the use of space science and technology for sustainable economic and social development in outer space. It was originally a team of experts serving on the short-term committee (Peaceful Uses of Outer Space) of the United Nations Secretariat, established by the General Assembly in its resolution 1348 (XIII) on 13 December 1958.
